RAL Art Center is thrilled to announce the public launch of its $1.2 million “Art for All” capital campaign. This transformative initiative will fund a brand-new community art center, expanding RAL’s footprint from a traditional art gallery and small classroom into a vibrant, multi-functional cultural hub.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of major donors, grants, and early gifts, RAL’s quiet phase has already successfully raised $900,000—bringing the organization to 75% of its goal.
Today, RAL turns to the community to help raise the final $300,000 to bring this vision to life. Please help us by donating today and paint yourself into RAL's future!
Art for All
With your support, RAL will open the doors of a new community art center in early 2027. A short walk from the fine art gallery, we believe that the center will be the heart of our Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula "neighborhood," where community members will find connection, growth, and support.
In an era where local gathering spots are more vital than ever, the role of a community center as a central hub for art and creativity cannot be overstated. When the doors open, RAL’s community-focused center will include a;
youth and teen studio,
ceramics studio,
adult and senior studio,
rentable gathering space for private and company events.
A Creative Hub Since 1949
What began with three friends gathering in an Irvington schoolhouse has grown into a regional arts organization serving artists, students, families, and art lovers throughout the Northern Neck.
RAL is currently creating a new space to embrace, expand, and enrich both the art we steward and the community that surrounds it. This will allow us to grow by offering more classes, workshops, programs, events, and opportunities to experience and learn the creative joy of art.
